Jarrian Jones was a five-year college starter who found his best form after moving to the slot at Florida State, and the Jaguars made him a third-round pick in 2024. He's since developed into one of Jacksonville's more productive defensive backs, becoming just the second FSU cornerback drafted by the team since Jalen Ramsey.
Path to the league
Jones started his college career at Mississippi State before transferring to Florida State, where he moved inside to slot cornerback for the 2023 season and excelled. As a senior, he earned All-ACC honorable mention honors after recording 25 tackles, five tackles for loss, a sack, three pass breakups, a forced fumble and three interceptions. The Jaguars selected him with the 96th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, making him the first Florida State player Jacksonville had drafted since Jalen Ramsey in 2016.
