Jeffery Simmons has been the anchor of the Titans' defensive line since overcoming a pre-draft ACL tear, developing into one of the NFL's premier interior pass rushers. His 2025 season was the best of his career, capped by his first first-team All-Pro selection.
Path to the league
Simmons was a five-star recruit who starred at Mississippi State from 2016 to 2018, earning consensus All-SEC honors as a sophomore. He tore his ACL training for the draft in February 2019, but Tennessee still selected him 19th overall in the first round.
Career highlights
Simmons has made four Pro Bowls (2021, 2022, 2024 and 2025) and earned All-Pro recognition three times. Through 2025 he has totaled 376 tackles, 42.5 sacks, 27 pass deflections and eight forced fumbles across 99 regular-season games, all with Tennessee.
2025 season recap
Simmons posted career-high numbers in 2025 despite missing a game to injury, finishing with 67 tackles, 17.0 tackles for loss and 11.0 sacks in 15 games. He earned AFC Defensive Player of the Month for December and was named a first-team All-Pro for the first time in his career.
