Joe Tippmann arrived in New York as the Jets' top offensive line investment of the 2023 draft and quickly became a fixture up front. After holding down the starting center job for two seasons, he shifted along the interior in 2025 and signed a lucrative extension to stay with the team long-term.
Path to the league
Tippmann played offensive line for Wisconsin from 2019 to 2022 before declaring for the draft. The New York Jets selected him in the second round, 43rd overall, of the 2023 NFL Draft.
