A seventh-round find out of Arkansas, Kam Curl has developed into one of the NFL's most productive tackling safeties.
Kam Curl made an immediate impact as a rookie interceptor in Washington and has only gotten better since, culminating in a career year for the Rams in 2025. His versatility and physicality at safety made him a priority re-signing in Los Angeles.
Path to the league
Curl played three seasons at Arkansas, recording 175 tackles, two interceptions, and 15 passes defended across 34 games. He went in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft to the Washington Commanders.
Career highlights
Curl's three interceptions as a rookie were the most by a Commanders rookie since 2008, and he became a four-year starting fixture in Washington's secondary before signing with the Rams in free agency ahead of the 2024 season. The Rams later rewarded him with a three-year, $36 million contract extension in March 2026.
2025 season recap
