Path to the league

Turpin was a dynamic playmaker at TCU before his college career ended early. He revived his football path in the spring USFL, where he was named MVP, then signed with the Cowboys and turned that opportunity into a long-term NFL role as a returner and gadget receiver.

Turpin has become a fixture of the Cowboys' special teams and earned Pro Bowl recognition in three straight seasons. In 2025 he set Cowboys single-season records for net yards with 2,351, surpassing DeMarco Murray's 2014 mark, along with franchise records for kickoff-return attempts and yards, per the team's official site.

2025 season

Turpin led the NFL in kickoff-return yards with 1,814 and added 55 punt-return yards, per the Dallas Cowboys. On offense he chipped in 26 receptions for 396 yards and two touchdowns. He signed a three-year, $13.5 million extension with the Cowboys in March 2025 and was added to his third consecutive Pro Bowl as a return specialist.
