Kenneth Grant was one of the standout defenders on Michigan's 2023 national championship team, and the Dolphins used the 13th overall pick in 2025 to make him their new anchor up front after Calais Campbell returned to Arizona. He spent his rookie year working into a rotational role alongside veteran Zach Sieler.

Path to the league

A 6-foot-3, 331-pound interior force, Grant was a key piece of Michigan's national championship-winning defense in 2023. The Dolphins selected him 13th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, using their top pick to replace veteran Calais Campbell after he chose to return to the Arizona Cardinals.

Career highlights

Grant earned third-team Associated Press All-American honors in his final Michigan season, starting 12 games and recording 32 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and five pass breakups as part of the Wolverines' title-winning defensive front.

2025 season recap

As a rookie, Grant played all 17 games and made five starts, finishing with 33 tackles (15 solo), two sacks, two tackles for loss, five quarterback hits and a pass defensed. He ranked second on the Dolphins' defensive tackle group in snaps behind Zach Sieler, ahead of veteran Jordan Phillips in playing time despite starting fewer games, and showed more consistent flashes as the season progressed.
