Path to the league

A three-star recruit out of Kenwood Academy in Chicago who also drew Ivy League interest, Bond signed with Boston College and redshirted as a true freshman. He developed into a full-time starter by 2023 and closed his career in 2025 as the program's all-time receptions leader. Houston selected him in the sixth round, No. 204 overall, in the 2026 NFL Draft, a pick the Texans acquired from the Los Angeles Chargers.

Career highlights

Bond finished his Boston College career with 213 receptions for 2,385 yards and 14 touchdowns, setting the program's all-time record for career catches. He earned honorable mention All-ACC honors in 2024 before taking a step forward as a senior in 2025.

2025 season recap

In his final college season, Bond started all 12 games and caught 88 passes for 993 yards and a touchdown, finishing fourth nationally in receptions per game and setting Boston College's single-season receptions record.
