Nakobe Dean is an instinctive, downhill linebacker who won a national title at Georgia and a Super Bowl with the Eagles. After four seasons in Philadelphia, he signed a three-year, $36 million contract with the Las Vegas Raiders in March 2026, per the Raiders and the Philadelphia Inquirer. He joins former Georgia teammate Quay Walker in Las Vegas.

Path to the league

Dean starred at Georgia from 2019 to 2021, helping the Bulldogs win the 2021 College Football Playoff national championship and winning the Butkus Award as the nation's top linebacker. The Eagles drafted him in the third round (83rd overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Career highlights

Dean was a key part of Philadelphia's defense during its Super Bowl LIX-winning 2024 campaign, setting career highs in tackles (128), tackles for loss (nine), interceptions (one) and fumble recoveries (two), per the Raiders. He spent his first four seasons with the Eagles.

2025 season

Dean played out his rookie contract with the Eagles in 2025 before reaching free agency. The Raiders signed him in March 2026 to a three-year, $36 million deal that included $23 million guaranteed, reuniting him with Georgia teammate Quay Walker.
