Qwuantrezz Knight is a safety whose football journey has taken him through three college programs, two NFL practice squads, a UFL championship league and the CFL before arriving in Washington. His versatility and physicality in the secondary have kept him in professional football for several years running.

Path to the league

Knight began his college career at Maryland, transferred to Kent State, and finished at UCLA, where he earned second-team All-Pac-12 honors in 2021 after totaling 106 tackles, 13.0 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, five passes defended and a forced fumble over two seasons. He went undrafted in 2022 and signed with the San Francisco 49ers within an hour of the draft's conclusion.

Career highlights

After stints with the 49ers (2022-2023) and Arizona Cardinals (2023), Knight kept his career alive by playing for the Birmingham Stallions in the UFL and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the CFL in 2025. His production at Kent State and UCLA, including a 10.5-tackle-for-loss season, established him as a physical, run-supporting safety.
