Will Harris built his reputation in Detroit as a do-everything safety before moving on to New Orleans and now Washington. Though listed as a safety, he has been used all over the back end throughout his career, a trait that has kept him employed as a valuable depth piece for eight seasons.
Path to the league
Harris played safety for Boston College from 2015-2018, was voted a team captain in 2018, and earned Third-team All-ACC honors while recording at least one interception in every season. The Detroit Lions selected him in the third round (81st overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
Harris had his best season in 2021, starting all 17 games for Detroit and posting a career-high 93 tackles with 4 passes defensed. He has career totals of 358 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 22 pass deflections and 3 interceptions across stints with the Lions, Saints and Commanders.
