A record-setting UNLV receiver who ended a 15-year drought for Rebels draft picks when Seattle selected him in the seventh round.
Ricky White III transferred from Michigan State to UNLV and turned into one of the most productive receivers in Rebels history before the Seahawks made him the first UNLV player drafted since 2010. He also earned Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Year honors on his way to the NFL.
Path to the league
White began his college career at Michigan State, setting a school record for receiving yards by a freshman with an eight-catch, 196-yard performance against rival Michigan in 2020. After an injury-shortened 2021 season, he transferred to UNLV, where the Seahawks drafted him in the seventh round, 238th overall, of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
Over three seasons at UNLV, White finished second in school history in receptions (218) and 100-yard games (13), and third in receiving yards (3,143) and receiving touchdowns (23). He was named Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Year and earned first-team All-Mountain West honors along the way.
2025 season recap
