A seventh-round pick who parlayed a big transfer season at Nebraska into a well-traveled NFL career now landing him in Philadelphia.
Samori Toure has worn a lot of jerseys since Green Bay drafted him in 2022, moving from the Packers to the Bears, Broncos and Saints before signing with the Eagles in June 2026. The former FCS standout has carved out a journeyman path built on special-teams value and occasional flashes as a deep threat.
Path to the league
Toure starred at Montana as one of the top receivers in the FCS before transferring to Nebraska for his final college season, where he earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors. Green Bay selected him in the seventh round, 258th overall, in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
Toure's first NFL touchdown came on a 37-yard catch from Aaron Rodgers in October 2022, a highlight from his two seasons in Green Bay. He has since moved through Chicago, Denver and New Orleans, totaling 14 career receptions for 163 yards and a touchdown across four NFL franchises.
2025 season recap
Toure spent 2025 chasing a foothold, joining Denver's practice squad in October before his release later that month, then signing with New Orleans' practice squad in late November. He was elevated to the Saints' active roster in early January 2026 but was waived that April, before signing with the Eagles in June 2026.
