Utah's 2025 Outland Trophy winner, drafted ninth overall by the Browns in 2026 as the first offensive lineman off the board.

Spencer Fano was the most decorated college lineman in the country in 2025 before Cleveland traded up to draft him ninth overall. The Browns plan to start him at left tackle as a cornerstone of their rebuilt front. He signed a four-year rookie deal in May 2026.

Path to the league

Fano won the 2025 Outland Trophy and was a unanimous first-team All-American and Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year at Utah. He did not allow a sack in 357 pass-blocking snaps that season, surrendering just five pressures per PFF.

2026 draft

Cleveland traded the No. 6 pick to Kansas City for the Nos. 9, 74 and 148 selections, then took Fano at No. 9, the first offensive lineman drafted in 2026. He signed a four-year, $32.2 million contract on May 8, 2026 that included a $19.9 million signing bonus, and coach Todd Monken slotted him at left tackle.
