Terrance Ferguson left Oregon as the program's career leader in receptions and receiving touchdowns by a tight end, then fell to the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft, where the Rams scooped him up. He spent his rookie year working into the rotation behind established veterans in Los Angeles.

Path to the league

Ferguson played four seasons at Oregon (2021-2024), setting the program's career records for receptions (134) and receiving touchdowns (16) by a tight end. His best season came as a junior in 2023 with 42 catches for 414 yards and six touchdowns. The Los Angeles Rams selected him in the second round with the 46th overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Career highlights

At the combine, Ferguson posted the fastest 40-yard dash (4.63 seconds) and highest vertical jump among tight ends in his draft class, and his 9.0 yards after catch per reception led all tight ends in the class. His draft-day comparisons included first-round tight ends Tyler Warren and Colston Loveland.

2025 season recap

Ferguson played behind Tyler Higbee and Colby Parkinson on the Rams' tight end depth chart as a rookie, appearing in a limited number of games. He caught his first NFL touchdown, a 31-yard score against the Jaguars, finishing the season with 11 receptions for 231 yards and three touchdowns.
