Timmy Horne's road to the NFL ran through Charlotte and Kansas State before an undrafted free agent deal with Atlanta in 2022. After stints with the Falcons and Giants, including a serious Achilles injury, the veteran defensive tackle signed with Tennessee, giving the Titans depth along the defensive front.
Path to the league
Horne began his college career at UNC Charlotte in 2016, developing into a regular starter at defensive tackle before transferring to Kansas State as a graduate transfer for the 2021 season, where he earned Fourth-Team All-Conference USA honors during a COVID-shortened 2020 campaign at Charlotte. He went undrafted in 2022 and signed with the Atlanta Falcons.
Career highlights
Horne made Atlanta's 53-man roster as an undrafted rookie in 2022 and played two seasons with the Falcons before being waived and picked up by the New York Giants' practice squad in December 2023.
