Receiver Tyrell Shavers is on the PUP list with a torn ACL, receiver Jalen Virgil failed his physical earlier in camp, and outside linebacker Michael Hoecht is working through limited reps as he continues recovering from a torn Achilles, with a Week 1 return still the target.
Is there better news elsewhere on the roster?
Rookie safety Jalon Kilgore has stood out with multiple pass breakups and an interception, giving Buffalo a bright spot at the position even with Gardner-Johnson sidelined. Receiver Joshua Palmer has also been making catches consistently after an injury-marred 2025.

DJ Moore has had highlight-reel catches through the first two days, including a deep touchdown, and said the connection with Josh Allen has already clicked. "Once I said that, things kind of clicked for us," Allen said. "And each day that goes by, we are getting more comfortable with each other."
