The Arizona Cardinals activated edge rusher Josh Sweat from the physically unable to perform list Monday, after he'd been sidelined by a knee injury since the start of training camp in July.

Sweat signed a four-year, $76.4 million deal with Arizona in March 2025 and posted a career-high 12 sacks last season. First-year head coach Mike LaFleur said Sweat dealt with the knee issue throughout camp.
What does this mean for his availability?
The activation points toward Sweat being ready for the regular-season opener on Sept. 13. In a corresponding move, the Cardinals also waived/injured running back Trey Benson.
