Giants' Harbaugh Says Odell Beckham Jr. 'Done Enough' to Make Roster
Coach John Harbaugh praised Beckham's camp progress ahead of Sunday's roster deadline, after the veteran receiver signed with New York in June on a make-the-team basis.
New York Giants coach John Harbaugh said Odell Beckham Jr. has done enough in training camp to make the team's roster, with New York's cutdown deadline set for Sunday at 6 p.m. ET.
What did Harbaugh say?
"Yes, he has done enough to make an NFL roster, for sure. He's played well. He's gotten better as camp's gone along. He deserves credit for that. He's done a really good job with it," Harbaugh said. He had also said earlier in the week that Beckham put together his best week of camp at the right moment ahead of final roster decisions.
How did he look in the preseason finale?
Beckham signed with the Giants in June on a make-the-team basis. In Friday's preseason finale against the Jets, he had three catches for 53 yards, though his performance was mixed: a slip led to an interception, and both of his catches were bobbled before he secured them.
