Darnell Mooney built his name as a deep threat with the Bears before a strong 2024 with the Falcons. A shoulder injury derailed his 2025, and Atlanta released him afterward. He signed a one-year deal with the Giants in 2026.
Path to the league
Mooney spent four seasons at Tulane before the Bears drafted him in the fifth round in 2020. He posted a breakout 1,055-yard season in 2021. He left Chicago for Atlanta in 2024 and immediately produced 992 yards and five touchdowns.
2025 season
A shoulder injury in training camp set Mooney back, and he did not debut until Week 2. He finished with 32 catches for 443 yards and one touchdown in 15 appearances, a disappointing follow-up to his 2024 form. Atlanta released him after the season.
