Aeneas Peebles

A one-year Virginia Tech transfer with football bloodlines who earned All-American recognition before landing in Baltimore as a sixth-round pick.

Aeneas Peebles spent four seasons grinding at Duke before a graduate transfer season at Virginia Tech turned him into one of the sixth round's best values in the 2025 draft. His grandfather Doug Wilkerson played 15 NFL seasons and made three All-Pro teams, and Peebles is now working to build his own NFL résumé along Baltimore's defensive line.

Path to the league

Peebles starred at Knightdale High School in North Carolina, where he was named Northern Athletic 4A Defensive Player of the Year as a senior. He played four seasons at Duke, earning All-ACC honors in 2023, before transferring to Virginia Tech for a final college season in 2024.

Career highlights

In his lone year with the Hokies, Peebles started all 12 regular-season games and posted 31 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and three pass breakups, earning first-team All-ACC and third-team All-American honors. Between Duke and Virginia Tech he finished with 118 career tackles, 21 tackles for loss and 11.5 sacks. The Ravens drafted him in the sixth round, 210th overall, in 2025.

2025 season recap

Peebles appeared in six games as a rookie for Baltimore, recording three tackles as he worked into the defensive line rotation. It was a modest debut season by design, as the Ravens developed him behind an established interior line.
