Travis Jones has grown from a raw, powerful UConn prospect into one of the more disruptive interior defenders on Baltimore's roster. After a slow burn through his first two NFL seasons, the massive nose tackle turned in a breakout 2025 campaign that earned him a significant contract extension.

Path to the league

Jones played for UConn from 2018 to 2021, missing the 2020 season when the program canceled its schedule due to COVID-19. He finished his college career with 134 tackles and 8.5 sacks, and the Baltimore Ravens drafted the 6-foot-4, 325-pound New Haven native in the third round, 76th overall, of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Career highlights

Jones recorded his first career sack in Week 6 of his rookie season against the Giants and spent his first two years primarily as a rotational backup before transitioning into a full-time starting role in 2024.
