Path to the league
Haulcy, from Missouri City, Texas, began his college career at New Mexico, where he became the first player in program history to earn Pro Football Focus True Freshman All-America recognition. He transferred to Houston for two seasons before finishing his career at LSU in 2025. The Colts drafted him in the third round, 78th overall, in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Over four college seasons, Haulcy amassed 347 tackles, 10 interceptions, four forced fumbles and 4.5 tackles for loss. He earned First-team All-Big 12 honors at Houston in 2024, then capped his career with First-team All-American and First-team All-SEC honors at LSU in 2025.
