Path to the league
A three-star recruit from Trussville, Alabama, Washington began his Ole Miss career as a defensive tackle and special-teams contributor in 2021 before moving to the secondary in 2022. He went undrafted in 2025 and signed with the Colts as one of their undrafted rookie free agents.
Career highlights
Washington's breakout came in 2023, when he started all 13 games and led Ole Miss with 83 tackles and three interceptions, earning third-team All-SEC recognition. As a senior in 2024 he again started all 13 games, adding 64 tackles and 8 pass breakups, and his 90.2 Pro Football Focus tackling grade ranked first among SEC safeties.
2025 season recap
Washington spent his rookie season with the Colts working to crack the 53-man roster behind Indianapolis's established safeties. He has yet to see extensive regular-season action, and the team retained him with a reserve/future contract in January 2026 to keep developing.
