Former Giants rookie sack-record holder from Georgia whose promising career has been repeatedly interrupted by injury.
Azeez Ojulari burst into the league as a second-round pick who set the Giants' rookie sack record, but the years since have been a fight to stay on the field. He is looking to rebuild momentum after an injury-shortened 2025 stint in Philadelphia.
Path to the league
Ojulari redshirted his first year at Georgia while recovering from an ACL injury, then broke out with 5.5 sacks in 2019 and helped the Bulldogs win the Sugar Bowl. He was named defensive MVP of his final bowl game, the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. The New York Giants drafted him in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
Ojulari set the Giants' franchise rookie sack record with 8.0 sacks in 2021. Across his first four NFL seasons he appeared in 46 games with 30 starts, totaling 22.0 sacks, 21 tackles for loss and 37 quarterback hits, though various injuries limited his availability throughout.
2025 season recap
Ojulari signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in March 2025 but again battled injury, appearing in just three games with two starts before being placed on injured reserve on November 1. He recorded six tackles and one tackle for loss in his limited action.
