Ben Bredeson built his reputation as a physical, durable interior lineman at Michigan before winding through Baltimore and New York on his way to Tampa Bay, where he became the Buccaneers' starting left guard.
Path to the league
Bredeson played guard for Michigan after being moved from tackle as a freshman, earning All-Big Ten second-team honors in 2017 and 2018 before a first-team selection and second-team Walter Camp All-American nod in 2019. The Baltimore Ravens drafted him in the fourth round (143rd overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
After a rookie season as a reserve and special-teamer in Baltimore, Bredeson was traded to the New York Giants, where he became the starting left guard in 2022 and 2023 before shifting to right guard late in his Giants tenure. He signed with Tampa Bay in March 2024 and started all 17 games at left guard that season, then signed a three-year, $22 million extension with the Buccaneers in March 2025.
2025 season recap
Bredeson started 11 games at left guard for Tampa Bay in 2025 before a knee injury suffered in Week 14 against New Orleans ended his season, landing him on injured reserve in December.
