Path to the league

Jones starred at Southern Utah, earning first-team All-Big Sky honors in both 2020 and 2021 despite a college career shortened by injuries and the COVID-19 pandemic. The Bears drafted him in the fifth round, 168th overall, in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Career highlights

Jones started all 17 games at left tackle as a rookie, logging every one of Chicago's 1,034 offensive snaps that season, the only Bear to do so, and earned a spot on the Pro Football Writers of America's All-Rookie Team. That workload established him as a foundational piece of the Bears' offensive line.

2025 season recap

Jones's 2025 season was limited, with the tackle appearing in six games as he worked through injury issues that cut into his usual full-time role. It marked a step back in availability after several seasons as an every-down starter.
