Path to the league
Jones grew up in Houston playing soccer and didn't pick up football until his time at Cypress Woods High School. He became a four-year starter at Texas, appearing in 61 games from 2019 to 2023 with 35 starts at right tackle and 21 at left tackle. The Arizona Cardinals selected him in the fifth round (No. 162 overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft, the first Longhorn the franchise had drafted in 11 years.
Career highlights
Jones made his first NFL start at right tackle in a Week 18 win over San Francisco during his rookie season, helping an offensive line that did not allow a sack of quarterback Kyler Murray while Murray tied his career high with four touchdown passes.
2025 season recap
Jones' 2025 season was disrupted by injury. He was placed on injured reserve in late August after suffering a knee injury in the preseason, and he was not activated again until mid-December ahead of a Week 15 matchup against Houston. He finished the season having appeared in four games with one start.
