Bryson Nesbit is a former first-team All-ACC tight end at North Carolina whose father played 11 NFL seasons on the offensive line.
Nesbit put together a steadily improving four-year run at North Carolina, capped by a first-team All-ACC junior season, before going undrafted in 2025. He landed with the Vikings and has flashed in preseason action, including a touchdown catch against Tennessee.
Path to the league
A Charlotte, North Carolina native and four-star recruit out of South Mecklenburg High School, Nesbit played tight end for the Tar Heels from 2021 to 2024. His father, Jamar Nesbit, played offensive line in the NFL for 11 seasons, giving Bryson a football pedigree before he ever suited up in Chapel Hill.

Nesbit's production climbed every year: 7 catches for 154 yards as a freshman in 2021, 35 catches for 507 yards and four touchdowns as a sophomore in 2022 that earned him honorable mention All-ACC, and 41 catches for 585 yards and five touchdowns as a junior in 2023 that earned first-team All-ACC honors. He finished his college career with 83 receptions for 1,246 yards and 10 touchdowns.
2025 season recap
Nesbit went undrafted in 2025 but signed with the Minnesota Vikings as a free agent on April 26 of that year. He was waived during roster cuts but re-signed to the practice squad, and he scored a touchdown in a preseason game against the Tennessee Titans that turned heads within the organization.
