A transfer-portal receiver who bounced through three practice squads before landing on the Titans, and still walked away with a Super Bowl ring.
Courtney Jackson has taken the scenic route to a roster spot, going from Syracuse to Arkansas State in college and then through Denver and Seattle before Tennessee claimed him off waivers. He returns punts as well as he catches passes, giving the Titans a low-cost weapon with real college production behind him.
Path to the league
Jackson played four seasons at Syracuse before transferring to Arkansas State in 2023. He went undrafted out of Arkansas State in 2025 and signed with the Denver Broncos, but was cut in final roster trims that August.
Career highlights
At Arkansas State, Jackson led the team with 39 catches for 689 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023, earning All-Sun Belt honorable mention, then added 42 receptions for 494 yards and two punt-return touchdowns in 2024. Across his four years at Syracuse he caught 63 passes for 662 yards, including a punt-return score against Boston College in 2021.
2025 season recap
After Denver released him, Jackson signed with the Seattle Seahawks' practice squad and stayed there the entire 2025 season, which meant he earned a Super Bowl LX ring when Seattle beat New England. Tennessee claimed him off waivers from the Giants in spring 2026 to add depth at receiver and punt returner.
