A Division III record-setter out of Berry College, Mason Kinsey has spent four seasons carving out a role in the Titans' return game.

Mason Kinsey's path to the NFL ran through Division III football, a rarity in a league dominated by Power Five products. The undersized wide receiver has stuck around Tennessee for parts of five seasons, mostly as a punt returner and special-teams contributor fighting for every rep.

Path to the league

Kinsey starred at Berry College, a Division III school in Georgia, where he caught 203 passes for 3,343 yards and 50 touchdowns over four seasons while helping the Vikings win four straight Southern Athletic Association championships. He went undrafted in 2020 and signed with the Titans, becoming the first football player in Berry history to land an NFL opportunity.

Career highlights

Kinsey earned three consecutive All-SAA first-team honors and a third-team D3football.com All-American nod as a senior at Berry. After bouncing between the Titans and New England Patriots practice squads in 2020, he stuck with Tennessee starting in 2021 and has carved out a niche as a punt returner, appearing in games each season since.

2025 season recap

Kinsey spent much of 2025 on the Titans' practice squad before being promoted to the active roster in late October. His career NFL numbers remain modest, with 6 receptions for 74 yards and 139 return yards accumulated across parts of five seasons in Tennessee.
