Devin Lloyd has been one of the most productive off-ball linebackers of his draft class since Jacksonville took him in the first round out of Utah. Years of triple-digit tackle totals finally translated into All-Pro recognition in 2025, and he now brings that resume to Carolina's defense.
Path to the league
Lloyd finished his Utah career with 255 tackles, 16.5 sacks and 43 tackles for loss over four seasons, earning first-team All-America honors and the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year award in 2021. The Jaguars selected him 27th overall in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
Lloyd was productive from day one in Jacksonville, posting 115 tackles with three interceptions as a rookie in 2022 and following that with 127 tackles in 2023. He has been one of the more durable, high-volume tacklers at the position since entering the league.
2025 season recap
Lloyd posted 113 tackles, two sacks, an interception and four pass breakups in 2025, a season that earned him his first career Pro Bowl selection and second-team All-Pro honors. That breakout production set up his move to Carolina on a new three-year deal.
