Texans Rule Out Nico Collins Against Bengals With Hamstring Injury
Collins was hurt late in Wednesday's practice and did not work Thursday or Friday. Doctors don't consider it serious. Right guard Ed Ingram is also out, and Joe Burrow is expected to start for Cincinnati despite a questionable tag.
The Houston Texans ruled out receiver Nico Collins for Sunday's game against Cincinnati with a hamstring injury he suffered late in Wednesday's practice. Team doctors do not consider it serious or long term.
What does Houston lose?
Collins led the Texans with seven catches on 10 targets for 75 yards and a touchdown in the opening loss to Buffalo, and he has topped 1,000 yards in three straight seasons. He missed five games with a hamstring injury in 2024. Jaylin Noel, Xavier Hutchinson, Jared Wayne and Kayshon Boutte, acquired from New England, make up the receiver group without him. Starting right guard Ed Ingram (groin) is also out.
What about the other sideline?
Joe Burrow is listed as questionable with back soreness but is expected to start. He said earlier in the week it would be "ridiculous" for the back to keep him out.
