Jadarian Price never started a game in his Notre Dame career, playing second fiddle to Heisman finalist Jeremiyah Love, yet he still produced nearly 1,700 rushing yards and became one of the most explosive return men in the country. Seattle used the 32nd overall pick, the last of the first round, to bring him in as a dynamic weapon on offense and special teams.
Path to the league
Price starred at Denison High School in Denison, Texas, before enrolling at Notre Dame, where a ruptured Achilles wiped out his true freshman season. He never became a full-time starter over the following three years but remained a key complementary piece in the Irish backfield. Seattle selected him with the 32nd overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, making him and teammate Jeremiyah Love the first pair of running backs from the same school taken in the first round since the AFL-NFL merger.
Career highlights
Price finished his Notre Dame career with 280 carries for 1,692 yards (6.0 yards per carry) and 21 rushing touchdowns over three active seasons, never topping 15 touches in a single game. He was named a first-team All-American as a kick returner in 2025 after returning three of his 22 career kickoffs for touchdowns, including a 99-yard score against USC.
2025 season recap
In his final college season, Price rushed 113 times for 674 yards and 11 touchdowns while adding six receptions for 87 yards and two more scores, totaling 15 touchdowns overall across offense, receiving and returns in 12 games. He signed a four-year, $16.7 million rookie contract with Seattle on May 29, 2026.
