Karl Brooks arrived in Green Bay as a sixth-round pick out of Bowling Green, where he terrorized the MAC as a first-team all-conference edge presence. He has since developed into a rotational defensive lineman for the Packers, contributing both as a pass rusher and against the run.

Path to the league

Brooks started 48 of 52 games over his Bowling Green career, racking up 167 tackles, 46.5 tackles for loss and 27.5 sacks. His standout senior season, in which he posted 10 sacks and 18 tackles for loss, earned him first-team All-MAC honors and led the Packers to select him with the 179th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the first Bowling Green player Green Bay had drafted since 1984.

Career highlights

Brooks broke out in his second NFL season in 2024, finishing with 24 tackles, 3.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries and two pass breakups over 17 games as a rotational interior lineman. His combination of first-step quickness and pursuit speed made him a disruptive presence off the bench.

2025 season recap

Brooks played all 16 games for Green Bay in 2025, finishing with 28 tackles and 0.5 sacks. His sack production dipped from his breakout 2024 campaign, but he added to his tackle total and remained a consistent rotational piece on the Packers' defensive line.
