Michael Trigg is a Tampa native who took a winding path through college football, starting at USC before transfers to Ole Miss and finally Baylor, where he emerged as a first-team All-Big 12 tight end. Considered one of the more talented undrafted free agents in his class, he signed with the Dallas Cowboys after the 2026 draft and is looking to carve out a role as a receiving threat at tight end.
Path to the league
A top-10 tight end recruit in the 2021 class, Trigg started at USC before transferring to Ole Miss in 2022 and then to Baylor in January 2024. Some evaluators expected him to be drafted in the fifth or sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, but he went unselected and signed with Dallas as an undrafted free agent with $200,000 guaranteed.
