Princeton Fant's football journey started in the backfield at Tennessee before he moved to tight end, and he has carved out a fringe-roster niche with the Cowboys ever since signing as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He is the cousin of Saints tight end Noah Fant.

Path to the league

Fant redshirted his first year at Tennessee and initially played running back before converting to tight end. Over his final three seasons with the Volunteers, he caught 48 passes for 423 yards and produced a versatile 2022 campaign that included five rushing touchdowns, three receiving touchdowns and a passing score. He went undrafted in 2023 and signed with the Dallas Cowboys.

Career highlights

Fant has stayed in the Cowboys organization since 2023, cycling between the active roster and practice squad while carving out reps almost exclusively on special teams whenever he has been elevated on gameday.
