A former walk-on who turned six years at Arizona into a second-round selection and an all-purpose secondary weapon for the Raiders.
Treydan Stukes was not highly recruited out of Millennium High School in Goodyear, Arizona, but he willed his way into a scholarship and a captaincy at Arizona before the Raiders drafted him in the second round in 2026. His ability to line up at safety, slot corner, or in the box makes him one of the more versatile defensive backs in his draft class.
Path to the league
Stukes joined Arizona as a walk-on in 2020 and earned a scholarship in 2021, playing six seasons for the Wildcats and serving as team captain twice. An ACL injury cost him most of the 2024 season, and he briefly entered the transfer portal before withdrawing his name and returning to Arizona. The Raiders selected him with the 38th overall pick in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
Across his Arizona career, Stukes played in 52 games with 28-plus starts, recording well over 150 tackles, seven career interceptions, and 35 passes defensed while lining up all over the Wildcats' secondary, including 380 snaps at slot cornerback in his final season. He earned Second-team All-American and First-team All-Big 12 honors in 2025.
2025 season recap
In his final college season, Stukes started 10 games and recorded 52 tackles, one tackle for loss, a sack, 10 passes defensed, and a career-high four interceptions, earning First-team All-Big 12 and Second-team All-American recognition. The Raiders drafted him 38th overall in April 2026, and he entered his rookie offseason with a chance to start immediately.
