Speed receiver who signed with his hometown Dolphins in 2026 after five seasons with the Rams.
Tutu Atwell is one of the fastest receivers in the league, a deep threat the Rams used in spurts. His 2025 season was limited by a hamstring injury that landed him on injured reserve. In March 2026 he signed with Miami, the city where he grew up.
Path to the league
At Louisville, Atwell put up huge numbers, including a 2019 sophomore season of 70 catches for 1,276 yards and 12 touchdowns that led the ACC and broke Harry Douglas' school record. The Rams drafted him in the second round in 2021. His NFL role centered on his speed as a vertical threat and occasional return man.
2025 season
Atwell finished 2025 with six receptions for 196 yards and one touchdown, an 88-yard catch-and-run score in the Rams' Week 4 win over Indianapolis. A hamstring injury kept him out of the Week 6 and Week 7 wins, and Los Angeles placed him on injured reserve on October 27. He signed a one-year contract with Miami on March 12, 2026, returning to his hometown.
