Tyler Scott entered the league as a fourth-round pick of the Chicago Bears in 2023, prized for his track-level speed at receiver. After failing to stick in Chicago, his career became a tour of NFL practice squads before he landed with the Rams late in the 2025 season.

Path to the league

Scott played three seasons at Cincinnati, catching 87 passes for 1,439 yards and 14 touchdowns and earning second-team All-American Athletic Conference honors as a junior in 2022. He measured a 4.44-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine and was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the fourth round (133rd overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Career highlights

Scott's rookie output with the Bears was limited, and he was waived at the end of the 2024 preseason. Since then he has bounced through practice-squad stints with the Colts, Seahawks and now the Rams, still chasing the consistent role his college speed once promised.

2025 season recap

Scott spent most of 2025 unattached to an active roster, cut loose by the Colts in September and the Seahawks in October before signing to the Rams' practice squad on October 28. He did not see meaningful regular-season game action for Los Angeles in 2025, but the team kept him around, signing him to a reserve/futures contract in January 2026.
