Andrew Wylie has built a career out of defying expectations, going from an undrafted free agent to a championship starter and now a veteran presence up front for Washington. He has continued to re-sign with the Commanders year after year as valuable depth and a spot starter.
Path to the league
Wylie played college football at Eastern Michigan and went undrafted in 2017, with brief stops in Indianapolis, Cleveland and with the Chargers before catching on with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Career highlights
Wylie appeared in 71 games with 59 starts across five seasons in Kansas City, helping anchor the Chiefs' offensive line through five AFC West titles, three AFC Championships and three Super Bowl appearances, winning Super Bowl LIV and Super Bowl LVII. He signed with Washington in 2023 and has continued starting at both guard and tackle, appearing in 116 regular-season games with 93 starts across his career.
2025 season recap
Wylie was inserted as Washington's starting right guard in Week 3 of 2025 to help stabilize the offensive line, starting four games during that stretch plus the season finale while playing in 16 games overall, a career-low in starts for him.
