New England Patriots receiver A.J. Brown injured his right ankle early in the third quarter of Wednesday's 13-10 loss at Seattle, his first game since the June trade from Philadelphia, and did not return.
What happened?
Seahawks cornerback Nehemiah Pritchett's right knee came down on Brown's ankle as the two went for an incomplete third-down pass. Brown was listed as questionable, then ruled out at the start of the fourth quarter, and wore a protective boot in the locker room afterward. Coach Mike Vrabel declined to discuss severity or a timeline.
What had he done before leaving?
Brown caught three passes for 26 yards and drew a defensive pass interference penalty on a deep ball that set up New England's only touchdown. Rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson had already been ruled out before the game with an ankle injury.
