Ravens receiver who signed a long-term extension in 2025 but saw his production dip after a 2024 breakout.
Rashod Bateman entered 2025 coming off the best year of his career and with a new contract in hand. The follow-up season did not match it. He finished with modest numbers as Baltimore's passing distribution shifted away from him.
Path to the league
Bateman was a standout at Minnesota before Baltimore selected him in the first round, 27th overall, of the 2021 draft. Injuries slowed his early years in the NFL. He broke through in 2024 with 45 catches for 756 yards and nine touchdowns, which earned him a three-year, $36.75 million extension signed on June 5, 2025, that runs through 2029.
Career highlights
First-round pick out of Minnesota and a long-term piece of the Ravens offense. His 2024 season stands as his career best, with nine receiving touchdowns. The extension that followed signaled Baltimore's belief in him as part of the receiving corps around Lamar Jackson.
2025 season
Bateman caught 19 passes on 39 targets for 224 yards and two touchdowns across 13 games, a clear step back from his 2024 production. He missed the Steelers game due to illness after sitting out practice that week. The Ravens leaned on other options in the passing game through much of the year.
