Ravens' Zay Flowers Day-to-Day With Hamstring; Rookie Ja'Kobi Lane Out Longer With Wrist Fracture
Flowers had 150 receiving yards before aggravating his left hamstring in the first half at Indianapolis, and Baltimore's receiver depth is thin with Lane and Devontez Walker also hurt.
Baltimore Ravens receiver Zay Flowers is day-to-day after aggravating his left hamstring in the first half of Sunday's 41-23 win at Indianapolis, coach Jesse Minter said, while third-round rookie Ja'Kobi Lane will be out longer with what NFL Network reported as a wrist fracture.
How is Flowers?
He left with about five and a half minutes to go in the first half after piling up 150 receiving yards, the most by any player in a first half in three years. It's the same hamstring he hurt in joint practices with Minnesota on Aug. 20. "I feel pretty good about where that's at. We'll see how the week goes though there," Minter said, adding, "You want to make sure that it's not something you're dealing with for 17, 18 weeks."
How thin is the receiver room?
Lane, the No. 3 receiver, finished with one catch for 11 yards before the injury, and Devontez Walker is dealing with a groin issue. That leaves LaJohntay Wester, Elijah Sarratt and practice-squad elevation Chris Moore as the healthy options. "I've got a lot of confidence in those guys," Minter said of Walker and Sarratt.
