Week 4: Steelers Visit Browns on Thursday Night With Both Teams 2-1
The Pittsburgh Steelers visit the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night, October 1. Pittsburgh is 2-1 after a 30-27 win over Cincinnati in which Aaron Rodgers threw for 292 yards and three touchdowns and Jaylen Warren ran for 127. Cleveland is 2-1 after a 21-18 win over Carolina, its second straight, in which Deshaun Watson threw two touchdown passes to Harold Fannin Jr. despite the Browns being outgained 360 to 259. Both teams play on three days' rest. Thursday update: Pittsburgh traded cornerback Joey Porter Jr., who had not played this season, to Dallas hours before kickoff.
Rodgers' best game as a Steeler
Four hundred eleven yards of offense against Cincinnati a week after scoring three points in New England.
Watson keeps winning
Two wins in a row with four touchdown passes and no interceptions, though Cleveland gained only 259 yards against Carolina.
Short week in the division
Todd Monken and Mike McCarthy meet for the first time as AFC North head coaches, with first place in play.
AI Prediction
Steelers
Browns Pittsburgh's offense found something
Rodgers, Warren and a 411-yard day against a good Bengals defense travel better than Cleveland's 259-yard win.
Cleveland's defense at home
The Browns held Tampa Bay to 19 and Carolina to 18, which keeps this within a field goal.
Thursday road teams are a risk
Three days of rest and a division road trip are why the lean is 53 percent and no more.
A Low-confidence road lean. The model trusts Pittsburgh's offense slightly more than Cleveland's two narrow wins.
